Performing professionally since the age of sixteen, Singer-Songwriter Yvonne DeBandi has explored many areas of the music industry with an outstanding style skill base including Rock, Jazz Standards, Contemporary Jazz, Dance, Top 40 / Pop, R&B, Blues, Country and Musical Theater. She has toured with bands, been a singer for hire and studied with many elite musicians. In addition to vocal performance, she plays many instruments including piano, guitar, violin and french horn. She has also studied dance and theater,which add a great deal to her high energy performances. In addition to performance, she has devoted time in the last ten years to vocal education. As a NATS Member (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and magna-cum laude graduate of the reknowned Florida State University School of Music, music education has always been an important part of her life. Seeing a need for organization with regard to teaching voice and so many schools dropping music programs, she created a vocal training method known as Sing Smart, Not Hard™. With a goal of providing affordable vocal education to the masses, she developed related book and audio CD curriculums for self-study and school classrooms, along with online training curriculums and distance learning programs.
